Obviously there's less competition in gaining admission to private schools since many local students can't afford the tuition. In the long run it doesn't really matter what your teachers say, as long as the education is good. Private school teachers make fun of their students and compare them to government school students and I'm sure government school teachers ridicule their students for some other reason. Med school is about learning, not about becoming best friends with your teachers. If little things like this bother you, you'll have a tough road ahead.
