Hi guys,
whats the status of PLAB these days for Pakistani medical graduates? I've learnt that its been re-opened for us and we can sit for the exam again. But nobody seems to be interested in that now?? steps mainly. whats the reason?? are they not accepting Paki graduates or the scope isnt that much now or what??

Because at present their own medical graduates are finding it difficult to get a job, foreign graduates dont stand any chance of getting in there, they are super saturated at the moment!!

PLAB open 4 pakistani graduates but they not giving preference to us . they had made policy to first accomodate their own graduates and then .. so to my knowledge no one appearing now 4 PLABS. one of our senior went through it and he gained very good scores in both parts but now he is doing steps. resons unknown.
as far as MLE concerned tooo much saturation in it also. . if however u score very good even then visa problems for us and other headaches.
My suggestion for all who wana appear in MLE must do electives in any uni of states. than surely u have very good chance to get residency otherwise many many of our seniors still waiting here despite of their scores in both steps of over 95. still. v shud do our best. rest.

hey have you guys any idea about fee of PLAB . why people do not apply for canadian exams . very few apply . whats the reason. no body here now sharing his views . not even moderators.
