Questionwhere is a good place i can study for step 1?

hi everyone. I'm Aniqa and I live in Sacramento CA. i recently graduated from medical school in pakistan. since its been a while i haven't been home im outta touch with things here and i don't know where to go and study. i wanna know where the medical students study around here. im preparing for my Step 1 and i would love to surround myself with other people that are doing the same. i need some motivation. if anyone knows...or even has a vague idea...it would be greatly appreciated if you could point me in the proper direction. i really need a push right now. and good luck to everyone out there no matter what stage of your academic career your in!!!!

You need to read the general forum rules before posting.

Most people do not study for the USMLE in groups, so you won't find a lot of people actively looking for "study buddies." American medical students have limited time to take step 1 and a lot to review-- they're usually cooped up in a basement or dorm room when it comes to studying for it.

There are no medical schools in Sacramento so you won't find many medical students there anyway. The closest place you could go is UC Davis but you won't really be allowed access there unless you have helpful friends to get you in.

If you're looking for other foreign grads, try hitting the public libraries; the Arden branch tends to have a few every now and then.
