Im a med student from the uk who doesnt know much abt the usmle and just wanted to clarify a few points.

What is the exam out of ie.... 350?

How many questions do you have to answer correctly to get a good residency. ppl always mention a 99, roughly speaking how many questions would you have to answer correctly to get 99 centile.....75%?

Hi zak. To pass USMLE usually you need 75 per cent of question to be correctly answered. But for a good residency you should beat the score of 92 percent especially when you're an IMG with no connection in US. Anyhow it doesn't guarantee an IMG to obtain a post because there are many Americans competing that post.

What type of Examination u have to Give if you are applying for med in Canada, would you need to give USMILE for that...if u do would that helo you out with getting the residency..
