Default Living in Europe related questions

These questions are for those who are already medical students in Europe especially Russia who have experience or are premeds but can still put some true advice.

Do you find time to cook in the dormitory kitchen? I am not a very good cook so I don’t know what shall happen to me.

Who shall clean the room for you? I mean I can do my own works of course but what about the others if they appear to be all time untidy?

I like the idea of traveling. And also watching movies but have you ever watched a Hindi or English movie in the theatres of Moscow? What I mean do they release Bollywood and Hollywood films? Do you get to watch the daily soaps as well?

Are the girls and boys hostels separate?

Are there cases of drugs and other illegal materials found to be usually involved?

Are there separate prayer halls for girls? I mean obviously one can’t practice ones own religion in the hostel rooms. Isn’t it? Are there temples, churches and mosques in Moscow? How can one practice his/her own religion?

In the hostel room one may find it hard to study – is it true? Do others study in the libraries or in some other places where they find it quite?

How should one study? Do we have to make lecture notes by ourselves? Or do the teachers provide with you notes?

Is a personal laptop really necessary for communicating with your family back at home or for making notes and presentations? Or can one even manage out very well without a personal laptop? I heard that laptops are really not that much important as the Russian system of education is mostly based on hand and pen technique. It is need mainly for entertainment purposes like playing games, etc.(although I don’t have the have of playing computer games). But I have the habit of writing articles and stories and reading newspapers from online. Do you think the university computers shall be enough for me?

My questions might sound silly to you? You may even laugh at them. Isn’t it? But because you are experienced and I am just about to experience that’s why I am asking you. Hope this won’t really bother you. I am writing these questions to you because I hope you are a bit free now and so can easily take your time to write at me.
