Default Have you ever been discriminated against for ANYTHING?

Have you ever been discriminated against for your religion, the place where you study medicine, your looks, culture, etc... Please share?

I know I have faced quite a bit of discrimination in my day. So far I´ve been discriminated against for all the categories except religion!

well then i guess i got you beat. all of the above! terrible isnt it? oh well...
so many instances i cant even remember them all. i guess the most profound would be religion and everything after sept. 11th...people saying things like go back where you came from, islam is evil, and you're a terrorist. all this on a college campus. eh...whatever, things used to bother me but i dont really care much anymore. people are just ignorant and trying to explain things to the really stupid ones...it's just pointless.

but yeah...everything else too even in super diverse southern california

I agree with Akila...I don't recall ever being discriminated against myself but have heard plenty of accounts of others who have had to face the disgusting concept of discrimination in their life.

I think we as future doctors must always hold the ideals of our profession as high as possible and never discriminate against any patient based upon his or her financial or social status, race, religion, or background.

We're becoming healers, not judges, right?
