so after high school i shuld apply to a college? here we hav average percentages in high skool, and i want to knoe which is a good percentage for me inorder to get into college

I am Maleeha.. I have not applied to a med school in Pakistan, but will, Insha'Allah. At the current moment I am registered to go to UC Davis. Let's see how this Med school thing works.

I was wondering, does having a few C's mean that all hope is lost?

Hello to everyone on the forum. My name is Ryan McIntyre from Chicago. I am not a medical student, but I assist medical students all day long finding short term housing (those doing away rotations in Chicago, New York City, etc...).

I am actually an Electrical Engineer that graduated from Purdue University in 1998. I have been busy lately building a "Free Rotation Finder Application" for medical students over the past few weeks. It's almost done! I'll share it with you when I get a little more accomplished.

I just found out about this forum today. Nice setup and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

1)I am in high school, planning to go to medical school.

2) I would like to specialize in surgery, either general or heart.

3) I have always been fascinated by the human body, the circulatory system in particular. I just find the way the heart works to be beautiful, and if possible would like to develop this field.

4) I am not really sure, since I'm not in Medical School yet; but I think my passion for learning and curiosity along with self-motivation are considerable factors.

5) I am not really sure about my residency, again, because I am not in medical school.

6) I plan to practice medicine in UK or Oceania or India.

1) What level are you in?
I'm currently in 3rd year of MBBS in Pakistan.

2) What specialty do you wish to go in?
Surgery

3) Why did you choose that branch?
My hands were made for surgery.

4) What makes you different from other med school students/Doctors?
I have a pilots license (well I'm in the process of getting a general aviation license).

5) What steps have you taken already to prepare you for the future residency?
None so far, but I plan to take some Kaplan courses in 4th year, so I can prepare for the USMLE.

6) where do you plan to pratice medicine?
Initially the United States or Australia, but eventually will return to Pakistan

7) Do you plan to ever open a clinic of your own someday?
Yes!

8] Where do you see yourself 10yrs from now?
10 years from now? 2018 hmm...really can't say, my aim right now is too get out of med school alive which will hopefully be in 2010. You can ask me then.

i am pre med and am still not sure what i will specilize in...it depends on wether i get admission in MBBS or BDS.u see my life is hanging in the balance at the moment.i hope i become a doc because i am very caring person it pains me to see ppl in pain,so if i do become a doc i can help them and God knows that ppl of Pakistan need help.
