    Start out with mustaq first. Lippincott and harper is a little challenging to understand. Once u get a hang of it, then read from harper, lastly from lippincott.

    mushtaq = hardcore cramming
    lippincott = beginner's book
    harper = pro stuff

    thats how i categorize it
    and it isn't in your college only, biochem is really a boring subject and even teachers aren't much interested in educating their disciples in the subject, atleast thats what i observed

    now, buy goal, or go to med-com forum and download solved past papers.Do prepare those, and stick to mushtaq (for carbs,proteins,lipids,nucleotides) and lippincott (vitamins,porphyrias,phospholipids and G proteins)

    I'd suggest you the smartest way out to ace your biochem, and that is to get hold of a Kaplan Biochemistry along with it's DVD lectures. As for the textbook other than Kaplan, Lippincott uses a language that is easier to understand, but doesn't cover the complete syllabus of UHS, Hashmi's Biochemistry is another good (easier to understand) book and has been written by a Prof. who sets the university papers.
