    University Medical & Dental College Faisalabad conducted a walk for ?Human Rights?

    International Human Rights Week, 10?17 December was celebrated in the world. The University of Faisalabad (TUF) and University Medical & Dental College Faisalabad (UM&DC) also scheduled held a number of events to celebrate the week. To promote awareness about the equal human rights TUF arranged a token walk from Madina Teaching Hospital to Sargodha Road which was largely attended by the faculty members and students. They displayed different banners reflecting the slogans in favour of equal human rights in all over the world. The walk was led by Prof Dr Zuhoor Ahmad Azhar, Dean Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences , Prof Dr Irshad ul Haq, Principal UM&DC and senior faculty members. Speaking on the occasion, they stressed the need for protection of human rights to promote peace and harmony in the world. They told that Islam is religion of peace and the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) also stressed the need of protection of human rights in His teachings. Equal human rights in the country will bring equal opportunities of progress and development to all citizens, they further added. Senior faculty members appreciated the efforts of students in raising awareness about this important issue. They suggested that such campaigns should be a regular feature of extracurricular activities of students which allow them to be familiar with different problems. Students also arranged a picture/ poster competition having the messages of restoration and protection of equal human rights.
