Important Dow Info
Hey so I am here in Karachi, and I recently been to DIMC and it is not that bad I went inside and took a little detour. It looks like an average U.S. college, for pakistan I guess that is pretty good. And surprisingly DIMC is like 10 mins away from my house. My dad owns an apartment complex 10 minutes away from DIMC. If anybody needs a place to live and they are attending DIMC let me know we can talk. But my main point of concern is that I personally sat with the chancellor of Dow Dr. Masood Hameed Khan and he said that overseas Pakistanis, pretty much international students DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE THE ADMISSION TEST if you are going through SAT 2 subjects test, (I do not know about IBCC),which I am doing and that is what he personally told. Trust me if he says that is the case then it must be, because he I believe is the highest person of authority in Dow you have no idea how many people we had to go through just to talk to him for 5 minutes.August 23rd, 2010, 10:03 PM #2
Even if you are required to do the entrance exam, it has no value. It's just a formality.August 26th, 2010, 10:13 PM #3

Thank god!! I read the same thing on their admission brochure but I wasn't sure if it was true or not. So 100% right? No need to write the entrance test?November 24th, 2010, 03:47 PM #6
Doesn't make any difference if you write it...it won't jeopardize the chances of getting an admission as long as you met the other requirements. So nothing serious if you do end up writing it. I was told it was a PMDC requirement just as a formality.November 25th, 2010, 05:21 AM #7
You guys either need to appear for the admissions test or give SAT2 ... I was applying to DIMC and talked to the admissions director and he said all i needed was SAT2 scores in bio, chem, phy minimum 550 in each and IBCC equivalence certificate of my A'level grades minimum 60%...
And also ... one of my friends who's local and was initially applying to Dow and SMC but couldnt get into either one opted for DIMC and got in without ever having to give his SAT2..
so either way its acceptable ..
