Lol it's not really that bad. Like once on his USB we saw a file that said "funnyUSBScandal" or something like that, and on another occasion there was a folder called "Tauquir pictures" -- and naturally the class interpreted them in the dirtiest ways possible lol.

you mention scandal... hmmm interesting and i don't blame the class for interpreting either way. they have every right to do so.

There's been quite a few users lately who have been saying that IBCC has within the past few months upped the deduction to 20% for Canadians.

When was the last time that you or a Canadian you know got a 10% deduction?

Salam all. i hope everyones ramzan is going well. we just finished our first year sendups at fatima jinnah in lahore and i know that every schools sendups are at different times so i just figured i would share my experience in case it would be at all helpful to anyone. i know i wish i had known what sendups were like before i had taken them. i expected that the sendups would be close to our 1st prof or even somewhat near it but i guess fj has its own thinking. we had our last test on august 30th and then had one week off and sendups started on the 8th of september. it was hard to cram everything into a week especially since i didnt really do anything over the vacations but heres the best advice i can give based on my experience:

yes, its intense and stressful but the best thing i would say is really manage your time. i know it has been said time and time again but before i started studying that week i sat down and made myself a schedule of what i wanted to complete each day and really stuck to it. otherwise i know i would have wasted a lot of time doing stuff here and there and would have been stressing out a lot more than i was. also it gets to be overwhelming at times but i would recommend just pacing yourself and taking breaks and not pushing yourself too much and just remembering that you can do it and it may seem impossible but so many people have done it and you can too.

Anatomy- i spent a day each on upper limb, lower limb, brain and embryology and half a day on general anatomy and histology. i would definitely recommend more time if you have it but we only had a week. our sendup was kinda awful and everyone didnt do that well but hopefully the result will turn out fine.

our actual exam consisted of two parts- an a part where each question was 10 marks and there were six questions where the first two were compulsory and then you had a choice of the rest where you could leave one blank. the b part consisted of 10 questions were each was five marks and the first two were compulsory and you could leave two blank. and the time allowed was 3 hours. the written portion was 100 marks and we didnt have a viva but we had spotting which was worth 50 marks and passing was 75 marks.

Upper limb and lower limb- i dont know about anywhere else but the teachers at fj tell you not to study from bd but i studied from bd chaurasia for both limbs and i think that since pretty much everything is in one book its pretty effective both for time management purposes and for your general sanity. the only thing i would say maybe to do from snell if you have time is the clinical anatomy only because sometimes in our exams there was a heavy emphasis on clinicals. also for origin, insertion, nerve supply and action i would really recommend the tables in bd. i know that there are tables as well in snell but the professors at fj say they are too easy so i would stick to the ones in bd. there was only one question about the origin and insertions. also for anatomy i would really recommend drawing diagrams wherever you can and making them nice because it can really help you get marks when you need them. i dont know how it is anywhere else but diagrams really do help so make sure to look over the diagrams as well.

Brain- there werent as many questions from brain as i would have expected however the one thing i would REALLY focus on is connections in brain especially of the important things like basal nuclei, thalamus, red nucleus, substantia niagra etc and clinical anatomy. wherever there was a question for identification in spotting the next question was name its connections or give its clinical anatomy.

Embryology- i would just really recommend keith moore and langman for embryo and i dont really think there is any way around it or something i could recommend to help other than to just know everything and do it well. i would suggest really going over the processes- primitive streak formation, notochord, neural plate, gastrulation etc. and knowing them from start to finish because that was what was mostly emphasized in our exam.

Histology- the diagrams are really important clearly so i would study those extremely well and if done well they are pretty much like definite marks you could get in the test without too much effort. in both parts a and b of our exam both compulsory questions were from histo and embryo. also i just gave a quick reading over laiq and i would recommend knowing the classifications as well.

General anatomy- i had really run out of time by this point so i really just read dermatomes, myology, osteology, blood vessels and joints in ghulam ahmad super fast. also the ossification of bone, blood supply to a long bone and vascular shunts are extremely important. with the classifications i would recommend knowing one example of each type of classification as well.

Biochemistry- our sendup was extremely straightforward thankfully. i mainly studied from lippincott and my lecture notes and it was fine. also i reviewed the tests we had taken this year and last years exams and some of the same questions ended up coming up so i would highly recommend that.

Physiology- i wasnt really sure how to study physio since theres so much and our time was limited so what i did was sit down and write a list of all of the topics and pushed myself to go through a topic a day during the last week of classes and lectures so that during the week we had off i could entirely devote myself to anatomy and it was extremely helpful.
-guyton is clearly good since thats the book we mainly use but i found that in a super limited amount of time jaypee worked really well for me since all of the topics are explained and most of the major points are covered. and i dont know about anyone else but i find that sometimes guyton gets longwinded and its hard to really figure out whats important and whats not and i didnt have that problem with jaypee.
-also all of our test questions for physio came from previous university questions since fj is under punjab university. i dont know about any of the other colleges but i would really recommend getting old uqs or uhs questions and looking at previous papers to see what was important and what students before us had in their exams. the exact same questions might not appear but you'll get a general sense of the test and its really helpful.
-also i dont know how it is anywhere else but at fj, diagrams and graphs are really important so i would recommend giving some time to those and knowing the units for the graphs and coloring your diagrams if you have time. also the cardiovascular system and renal systems are SUPER important and showed up everywhere and were given the most marks in our vivas so i would really make sure you know those well.

theres not much i can say about vivas since they are pretty much all luck and based on what examiner you get but both of my biochemistry and physiology vivas were extremely thorough and covered everything but overall ok.

i hope this helps! good luck on sendups and prof!
