it's a great idea but people need to follow it till the end... and sadly, that's the real problem why such activities almost always fail... but i'm ready to give my input anytime.August 5th, 2008, 07:44 PM #3

i agree with danny u need to learn these coz they were also important in out first yr FSc exam (in the mcq part) be sure to learn how they are written
btw i have another question...in the first chapter in biology part 1 they have this table/diagram watever that mention the different ages of life on earth e g the age in which reptiles were evolved.....i find it kinda difficult to learn...is it important?

but also, from my experience, as far as i can remember, i don't think there was any question asked that was related to the subject of evolution and also, when i studied for my entrance test, i was told tht there are far better things present to be asked than evolution ... so there u go...
Note of caution: I only speak this based on my and solely my experience alone which too is just based on one entrance exam.... Certain exams would differ in their structure and format... so i would welcome other web forum users to contribute in this discussion. #nerdAugust 5th, 2008, 10:54 PM #7
CHAPTER 2 physics part 1,cross product rule is tht i*j=k, and j*k=i, j*i=-k, k*j=-i my question is tht why r the rules different for i*k and k*i?August 8th, 2008, 10:17 AM #8
Lolz Danny u r absolutely right.
That table is extremely hard to memorize. Forget it. U can do better by remembering the definition of vaccination and other stuff in the same chapter!

1-there is like sizes of animals
2-number of species and
3- there is the name of families of plants with examples and characteristics and these biological names of plants
i wanna know if anyone can tell me what to do with these things
i should learn it or leave itAugust 14th, 2008, 11:09 PM #14
the answer to this is already stated in the book, look for right hand rule stated there n u would get the answer more over when u do i to j it is k but when u multiply other way then according to vector multiplication we get opposite direction, morover try right hand rle and it would be easier for u

u dont really need to learn all the names of species and their characteristics they hardly ever ask questions on that...but do the chapters of fungi bacteria virus really welll bcoz we were asked questions on those....but do read those chapters twice so that u know smthing...August 24th, 2008, 10:27 AM #16
Actually that makes sense because as a medical student, you are exposed to a more elaborated version of things you have learned in you high school years regarding viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasite all combined into a module of Microbiology. So I wouldn't mind giving these subjects more time. Good luck!August 25th, 2008, 12:30 AM #17
All the course of FSc Biology at one side and the Biodiversity [The 5 knigdom Classification chapters] on the other. You really NEED to ace in Biodiversity if u want to do good in the entrance test as far Punjab Medical Colleges are concernd. These chapters have applications in almost ALL the other chapters. I hope i was of some help.
