Cardiovascular technician??

sanmiguel Med Studentz Novice Posts: 4 Join Date: Aug 2007 Status: Pre-Medical Location: houston	Cardiovascular technician?? I was reading up on previous written entrance essays to prestigous medical schools and just thought of somethin. Do you think being a cardiovascular tech (1.5 yr trade school program) would help or hurt me in the application process to med school?? I know I still have to complete my undergrad and my pre req for med school, but I'm trying to figure out how to apply this program to benefit me in the future. Being a ultrasound tech is contributing to the medical community, right? I mean I'm not a nurse (may contribute to the nurse shortage)....I'm going to be a tech. Hmmmm, any thoughts??
